Brief summary of Final Project Idea
The purpose of my typeface idea is to enhance the typeface and make it represent more of the Ipoh's heritage identity. The problem is the typeface used on the floor symbols in front of the heritage building site is not appealing enough. The solution is to use heritage building design style to construct the typeface.

REFLECTIONS
EXPERIENCES
Through the semester, I learned how to manage my time well for each exercise or project given to me. Although we had other modules to complete, but still we had to focus equally on all of our modules. I have to say this module was not as easy as the earlier one for Typography. There are more exploration and interplay with images and words for this module while the previous module, we only had to deal with words. Although it was challenging, it helped to learn and improve my skills in designing something. While going through this semester, I went through many difficulties in trying to reach the expectations of the works we need to do. There were many ups and downs through each assignment but I tried my best to complete it at my best ability. I will make sure to take the things that I learned in this module and apply it to my future projects and assignments. Furthermore, Mr. Vinod and Mr. Shamsul has taught us how typography can be used in many different ways not just with words but also with images.
OBSERVATIONS
From my previous work in Typography and now in Advanced Typography, I can see that I improve a lot and discovered my weakness and improve it in the assignments I have now. I saw how my other classmates had their own ways and interpretations in their works which gave me inspirations and motivation to work harder. Besides that, I also realize that I paid more attention to details than I was in Typography class. This was a good thing to spot as I will continue to pay attention to details and make less mistakes in my work when I am in specialization for next semester and also to my internship and job in the future. It was also good to learn from my other classmates and improve my work and observe on how they took the assignment and design it in their own style and way. I also noticed how both lecturer, Mr. Vinod and Mr. Shamsul took their time and effort to reply to us to our online messages of asking their feedback especially during the weekends and holiday break.
FINDINGS
Through my journey in Advanced Typography, I found out that the expectation was much more higher and difficult as we have experiences from our similar module, Typography. It was a rough journey but I am glad that I overcame it and finally it comes to end as the time goes. I also found that this module is more open in the way the assignments were given to us. We had the freedom to choose what we want to do especially for our final project. This makes us get of our comfort zone and find out more about ourselves like what are we good at and what are we bad at. It also help me to find out what I really love to do and what I do not like to do. And most importantly, it directs to a clearer mind of what I want to do in the future and what specialization I want to pursue in. For our further readings, I found that it helps me to get more ideas and enhance not only my typography knowledge but my knowledge in design as a whole too. Even though, it was boring and tired to read a whole bunch of words/text.
